Two Top-5 trophies of Arabian Oryx
Nowadays Arabian Oryx is a very rare trophy. This makes it even more noteworthy that two of our clients managed to bag trophies which both qualify for Top-5 in the SCI record book.
Arabian Oryx is smaller than Common Oryx (in South Africa also known as Gemsbok) and it lacks the pronounced black and white markings of Common Oryx. Arabian Oryx was introduced to the Karoo desert several years ago. It is a biotope with many similarities to the original home grounds of the species on the Arab peninsula. Not surprisingly, the animals are thriving in the Karoo, which is located only about an hour's drive from our safari lodge.
