We have recently had a Danish couple visiting. They were celebrating their silver wedding anniversary with a holiday to South Africa. The visit included a photo safari to a national park and game reserve, fly fishing for trout, a gourmet candle-light dinner in the bush, and an overnight stay and sightseeing at a luxury resort by the Indian Ocean. The actual silver anniversary was celebrated on a luxury train ride on the famous Rovos Rail, also known as The Pride of Africa.

The couple are both great nature lovers and the husband is an avid fly fisher. Therefore we had arranged a visit to one of the most beautiful natural spots in the Eastern Cape Province. After about an hour's hiking through a lush and tranquil forest in a rocky setting one arrives at a spectacular, 90-metre tall waterfall where it is possible to fish for trout. The husband brought his fly fishing tackle and within a few hours of fishing he managed to catch five very nice trout.
