Trophy hunting in the Abu Dhabi desert

Side by Side Safaris has recently been appointed exclusive booking agent for a brand new hunting destination in the Arabian emirate Abu Dhabi. This takes place in connection with the launch of our new worldwide hunting program. Trophy hunting in Abu Dhabi has only recently become possible. The first test hunts took place 2016. At this time it is only possible to hunt in one private hunting concession; a vast desert area that is home to three rare game species: Arabian Mountain Gazelle (gazelle gazelle), Arabian Sand Gazelle (gazelle subgutturosa) and Arabian Oryx (oryx leucoryx).

Abu Dhabi – as well as the other emirates – has been closed to hunting for a very long time and historically only a few hunters have had the possibility to acquire trophies of these rare species. The quality of the trophies from this area is outstanding. The same can be said about the accommodation, which takes place at a 5-star resort surrounded by a spectacular desert landscape, close to the actual hunting area. The best time for hunting is from 1st October to 1st April, "winter time", where temperatures are on a pleasant level.

This exciting new hunting destination is ideal for a family holiday with spectacular nature, top-class accommodation, and friendly and forthcoming hosts. Non-hunting family members are welcome to come along on the hunts, which are guaranteed to provide new and exciting experiences. After some successful hunting days in the desert, the holiday can conveniently be rounded off with some tourist holidays in neighboring Dubai, only a few hours' drive from the hunting area.
