Luxury safari lodge completed

At the start of 2016, a milestone was reached at Side by Side Safaris. After four years of intensive construction work, our exclusive safari lodge – arguably South Africa's finest – was completed.

Since our move to South Africa in 2012, it has been our declared goal that our lodge would stand up to the very best in the country – or better than that. It has been a long and, at times, difficult building process that placed great demands on everybody involved – not least because of the situation of the lodge, high on a cliff overlooking much of our Klipplaat grounds. The lodge offers all the comfort and luxury that even the most discerning safari guest can wish for – a perfect starting point for a luxury safari with both room and facilities for pampering your companion or the whole family.

The lodge accommodates a maximum of seventeen guests, but we put great emphasis on creating a cozy and private atmosphere for our guest. Therefore, there will never be more than one safari party at the lodge at any one time.

The individual villas of the lodge offer everything that our guests can wish for in terms of well-being and comfort – for instance a spacious and comfortable bathroom, a private outdoor jacuzzi, and direct access to the lodge swimming pool, situated right at the cliff's edge with a formidable view of the landscape below. Ad to this, gourmet catering and a well-stocked bar with some of the finest wines that South Africa has to offer.
