Ideal destination for a family safari

As one of a very few safari operators in South Africa's Eastern Cape Province, we are able to offer trophy hunting for both Mountain Reedbuck and Common Reedbuck on the same hunting grounds. Due to a selective shooting policy, where only old and mature trophies are taken, we have over the past eight years built up a strong population of both Reedbuck species.

Our own Klipplaat grounds offer very varied terrain – everything from open savannahs to low mountains. That makes it an ideal biotope for many game species. It is possible to hunt more than 40 different trophy species here – most of them naturally occurring on the grounds. This makes the Klipplaat near unique in all of South Africa.

Accommodation of visiting hunters takes place centrally at one of our safari lodges – either the luxurious 6-star Mountain Lodge or the new 4-star River Lodge. Both lodges are centrally located on the grounds. As a result, you save endless time driving to and from the hunting area every morning and afternoon. This contributes to making Side by Side Safaris' Klipplaat grounds an ideal destination for a family safari where the hunting activities for trophies combines perfectly with time for family activities at the lodge or touristing in the surrounding province.
