Trophy Hunting in Abu Dhabi
The hunting in Abu Dhabi started a few years ago. One visionary outfitter bought a very big conservancy area for hunting. At this beautiful place you can hunt the following 3 game-species: (Arabian Mountain Gazelle,(Gazelle Gazelle)) + (Arabian Sand Gazelle, (Gazelle Subgutturosa)) + (Arabian Oryx,(Oryx Leucoryx)). Only a very few hunters have ever hunted these species, as the hunting in the past was closed. The trophies you can hunt here are of excellent trophy quality.
You will be accommodated at a 5-star resort, very close to the hunting area. You will daily be picked up by the Professional Hunter. Normally hunting is from 6:00AM to 10:30AM, and then again in the afternoon from about 15:00PM to sunset.
Hunting & Accommodation:
An English-speaking professional hunter will daily pick you up at the resort and take you out hunting. Observers are most welcome to join the hunt. When the morning hunt is over, the professional hunter will bring you back to the resort, for you to enjoy lunch and the swimming pool. The hunt takes place by driving around the desert in a Toyota Land Cruiser and spotting after gazelles. Often you stop at selected high sanddunes, where you walk up to the top, to spot for the gazelles. As soon as a heard of gazelles are spotted, the stalk starts on foot. It's quite energy-intensive to walk in the sand in the desert, but incredibly beautiful.The shooting distances in the desert are often from 150-220 meters. This conservancy area is at the moment the only place where you can legally hunt in Abu Dhabi. This area is privately owned and fenced. The hunting area is just over 8000 hectares, where it is pure desert, with small oases scattered around the area.

Put together your own hunt:
You don’t have to go for one of the hunting packages, you can put together your own hunt, where you choose the amount of: Accommodation days and what trophies you want to hunt. All the separate rates you will find above.
Skinning and trophy treatment:
When you have been lucky to take a nice trophy, the treatment of the trophy-skin is very important, and at this hunting destination, they have trained the skinner to an expert level.
Trophy export and import from Abu Dhabi:
At this hunting destination, they will help you with the paperwork to find a way to have the trophies exported when you have shot them. Normally before the safari, you have to apply for an import permit to the specific European country where you want to have the trophies send to, just to make sure that it can be done. Trophy treatment for export(Dip & PACK) and exportation cost of the trophy have to be paid upfront before the safari. The cost starts from 1230,00 USD and depends on the number of trophies and what species there have to be exported. The price includes, basic taxidermy treatment for export (DIP & PACK), all permits from Abu Dhabi as well as the air fright to Europe and South Africa. Freight to other countries, we can assist you to find a price. The freight cost does not include domestic transport of the trophy when it arrives at your home country, so you have to contact your local shipping agent to help with the paperwork and the transport.
Best hunting period:
We will recommend the period from 1 of October until the 1 of April as the main hunting period. This period is the local “winter-period”, and the temperatures are good for hunting in the desert.
Suggested Airport & flight tickets:
We recommend flying directly to Abu Dhabi Airport. An additional fee of 410 USD, will be charged if you want the staff from the resort to pick you up & bring you back to the airport. You can also fly to Dubai airport where the staff from the resort also offer to pick you up & bring you back, for an additional fee of 520 USD. The transport time from Dubai airport to the resort is about 1 hour longer than if you fly to Abu Dhabi airport.
Flight tickets are not included in the above prices and we recommend booking them yourself.
