Fly Fishing
This day is dedicated to fishing, more explicitly fishing with fly.
We co-operate with a famous fly fisher and angling coach, which gives our guests a unique opportunity to go on a guided fishing trip.
After breakfast, you will be picked up at the lodge by the local South African fishing guide (English speaking), who will be your guide for the whole trip.
The fishing guide takes you to nearby fishing waters within a short distance from the local town Somerset East. One of the most beautiful fishing spots is at a 60-meter high waterfall, and if the weather permits, the guide will bring you there. The guide has written several books about fly fishing and is one of the most famous professional fly fishermen in South Africa.
The fishing guide lends you all the necessary equipment. Experience with fly fishing is not a necessity to participate, as you are taught the fly-fishing techniques during the trip.
The tour includes:
Pick up at the lodge by English speaking guide.
Driving to and from the fishing areas
Rod fees and tackle hire
Drinks and snacks throughout the day
Lunch at the water (braai, weather permitting).
The guide will bring you back to the lodge for dinner.
Price:
(The tour requires at least 2 participants fishing).
Price for 2 persons fishing: 650 Euro.
If more than 2 persons fishing, the price is then: 125 Euro per person fishing.
Price per "Observer" (persons who do not want to fish) = 50 Euro per person.
