"Mountain hunt" for Cape Bushbuck

IMG_2210.jpeg

Bushbucks are normally found in dense cover near streams and moist ground. In an area dominated by low mountains, near our own Klipplaat grounds, there is, however, a healthy population of Cape Bushbuck with many good trophies among. Here – at 1400 metres altitude – one of our safari guests was lucky enough to bag an old buck with a fine trophy. The buck was located after an exciting stalk through heavy morning fog and was shot at only 40 metres distance.
