Gold medal Cape Buffalo for Swedish client

Our very first client at Side by Side Safaris, Swedish Anders Vestergren, recently completed his second safari with us. This time – if possible – with even greater success than last year. Anders bagged impressive 27 trophies on the safari. Among the highlights were a Top-5 trophy of the rare Arabian Oryx and a large gold medal Cape Buffalo.

One early morning, Anders and his PH, Bjørn, spotted a herd of some 50 buffalo including a couple of very good bulls. One of the bulls stood out from the others with his strong boss and deeply curved horns. After a long and difficult approach through dense bush, a chance for a clear shot from a small hillock suddenly appeared. Anders killed the buffalo with a single, well-placed shot from his .375 H&H rifle.
