Another successful safari

Together with our client, Peter Kierk, we have recently completed yet another successful safari. This time emphasis was on three smaller species which were all high on Peter's want list, three species which are normally very difficult to get: Caracal, Blue Duiker and Cape Grysbok.

We have recently obtained access to some very attractive areas where all three species are available and we are pleased to offer hunting of these, all on the same safari. The hunts are carried out with specially trained dogs; up to 36 Mapassa hounds divided into two teams for Caracal, while for Blue Duiker, 2-4 Jack Russell terriers or beagles are used. The hunting area is made up of large sand dunes overgrown with dense bush and situated right next to the Indian Ocean. The hunter is often positioned less than 50 metres from the ocean.

The elusive Cape Grysbok is normally hunted at night, and, as the only safari operator, we are now able to offer hunting of this much coveted species on a plantation area also situated right near the coast.

In addition to the three "want species"; Peter also bagged very nice trophies of Scimitar-horned Oryx, Bontebok, Vervet Monkey, Springhare and Porcupine.
