City-tour to Somerset East
As a guest at Side by Side Safaris, we can arrange a guided city-tour to the small local provincial town, Somerset East.
The city tour can be arranged as a half-day tour or a full day trip.
After breakfast, you will be picked up at the lodge by an experienced South African guide (English speaking) who will be your host for the whole trip. After a 40-minute drive from the lodge, you will reach Somerset East, which is the closest local provincial town.
Half-day trip to Somerset East will include:
Visit to the Somerset East Museum & Walter Battiss Art Museum.
City walk to experience the history of the city. If you want to do some shopping along the way, that can be arranged as a part of the tour.
At midday, you will go to the city's best restaurant/pub, where city life on the main street can be experienced intimately, as lunch is enjoyed on the restaurants open-wooden-deck, high over the main street.
Prices - (Half-day city tour - Somerset East):
(The tour requires a minimum of 2 participants).
Price for 2 persons: 400 Euro.
If more than 2 persons, the price is then: 60 Euro per person.
Price example for 3 persons: (400 Euro + 60 Euro) = 460 Euro.
The full-day trip to Somerset East will include:
Visit to the Somerset East Museum & Walter Battiss Art Museum.
City walk to experience the history of the city. Some shopping along the way can be arranged if you want.
At midday, you will go to the city's best restaurant/pub, where city life on the main street can be experienced intimately, as lunch is enjoyed on the restaurants open-wooden-deck, high over the main street.
Meet the locals and have some tea with them in the township at their home.
A short drive up the mountains to experience the view over the town.

Price for 2 persons: 450 Euro.
If more than 2 people, the price is then: 80 Euro per person.
Price example for 3 persons: (450 Euro + 80 Euro) = 530 Euro.
